Q. What does ‘omakase’ mean?

A. In Japanese, ‘omakase’ simply means ‘I leave it to you to decide’. We specialise in omakase fruit gift boxes because we only decide what goes into our bags after we check the quality of that week’s shipment. If what was good last week is no longer good enough this week, we will swap it out and give you only what is really good this week!

Q. I see the same fruit in my local market. What makes The First Fruits' fruit different?

A. There is no comparison. You can be sure that The First Fruits' fruit wins in taste, texture and scent. It may be the same type of fruit, but one bite of our fruit will tell you that our fruit is a class above.

Q. How much is delivery?

A. Delivery is $8 per address. For orders above $75 to a single address, delivery is free.

*Please note that there is an additional $15 charge for redelivery if the delivery is unsuccessful i.e. there was no one to receive the delivery

Q. Where do we deliver?

A. Delivery services is only available to valid residential and commercial addresses on mainland Singapore. We do not deliver to restricted areas such as Jurong Island, Changi Airport, Cargo Complex, Port of Singapore Terminals, offshore islands and Singapore Armed Forces Camp sites. Please Whatsapp us at +65 8162 9972 if you have any special requests such as delivery to Sentosa*. 

*Please note that there is an additional $15 charge for delivery to Sentosa.

Q. Can I make an order to multiple addresses as gifts?

A. Yes! Just submit a separate order for each address. For more than two separate addresses, contact us via email or Whatsapp and we will be happy to assist you.

Q. No one will be home to receive the delivery, what do I do?

A. As we prepare your items fresh on the day of delivery, we aim to complete all our deliveries between 12pm to 6pm. If you know your recipient will not be available to receive the order, please let us know in advance so that we can make contact and reschedule the order.

Should there be no response at the door, our delivery team will try their best to contact the recipient. Failing which, the order will be placed in a complimentary cooler bag by the door (or safest place possible)

Q. Do you provide same day delivery?

A. Yes! For same day deliveries, just place your order by 3pm (Monday - Friday) or by 11am (Saturday). All orders received after this cut-off timing will be rescheduled for the next-day delivery (Monday - Saturday only).

Q. Why am I unable to select my desired delivery date?

A. Please note that if the delivery date is not selectable, it means either all delivery slots have been reserved or we are closed for that day.

Q. I cannot receive my order on the delivery date. What do I do?

A. If necessary, you can arrange to postpone your delivery to any of our other delivery dates. Let us know at least two days ahead of your scheduled date to avoid an additional $8 surcharge. 

Q. I need to cancel my order! 

We understand plans change and you may no longer need your order. Our fruits and products are prepared to order, meaning it is only curated once an order is placed. As such, we request that all cancellation/amendments be made 3 days before the scheduled delivery.  A 50% refund is available for orders cancelled within 3 days of the original scheduled delivery date (this refund policy does not apply to corporate orders).

Q. What happens if i've received a compromised fruit?

A: Our fruits go through numerous rounds of quality check before being packed. There are however instances out of our control eg. no visible blemishes on the skin of the fruit but dark spots discovered when cut. While rare, such situations can occur! Please write in to us at hello@thefirstfruits.com and we'll do our best to help! Due to the sensitive nature of fruits, all orders will be deemed as accepted if no feedback i received within 2 hours of delivery.

Q. How do I store my fruit?

We recommend consuming the fruit you receive within the week. In general, you should store fruit in the refrigerator to preserve its freshness and quality. For best storage practice for each fruit variety, you can find some tips on the fruit listing on our Instagram.

Monday - Friday: 9.30am to 6.00pm
Saturday: 9.30am to 12.00pm
